4. Faith Perceives the Invisible, While Hope Reaches Out Confidently to Receive

Hebrews 11:1 (AMP)

 Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Hebrews 11:39-40 (AMP)

³⁹ And all of these, though they gained [divine] approval through their faith, did not receive [the fulfillment of] what was promised, ⁴⁰ because God had us in mind and had something better for us, so that they [these men and women of authentic faith] would not be made perfect [that is, completed in Him] apart from us.

5. We Have the Supernatural Faith of God that Comes Through Jesus Christ Living in Us.

Galatians 3:23-25 (AMP)

²³ Now before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, [perpetually] imprisoned [in preparation] for the faith that was destined to be revealed, ²⁴ with the result that the Law has become our tutor and our disciplinarian to guide us to Christ, so that we may be justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] by faith. ²⁵ But now that faith has come, we are no longer under [the control and authority of] a tutor and disciplinarian.

Jesus said in

Mark 9:23 (NKJV)

²³ “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

This supernatural faith enables you to…

– Walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

– Quench al the fiery darts of the enemy. (Ephesians 6:16)

– Overcome the world. (1 John 5:4)

Hebrews 12:1-2 (AMP)

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, ² [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].

JESUS IS THE SOURCE OF SUPERNATURAL FAITH.

HE IS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF IT!

AS a child of God, the father has given you promises that you need to focus your faith and hope upon.

– The hope of resurrection from the dead. (Acts 23:6)

– The hope of the rapture of the saints. (1 Thes. 4:14-16)

– The hope of the second coming of Christ. (Titus 2:13)

– The hope of the redemption of our bodies. (1 Cor.15:51-54)

– The hope of reigning with Christ for a thousand years. (Rev. 20:6)

Romans 15:13 (NIV)

¹³ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you

trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 6:19 (AMP)

¹⁹ This hope [this confident assurance] we

have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip

and it cannot break down under whatever

pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast

hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells],

Your Need Will Be Met When You Release the Faith And Exercise the Hope God Has Given You.
