WHAT IS JESUS TELLING US ABOUT THE FUTURE
Mark 13:10 NLT
New Living Translation10 For the Good News must first be preached to all nations.
Luke 21:8-11 NLT
8 He replied, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and saying, ‘The time has come!’ But don’t believe them. 9 And when you hear of wars and insurrections, don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place first, but the end won’t follow immediately.” 10 Then he added, “Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and plagues (COVID19) in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs from heaven.
Luke 21:25-28 NLT
25 “And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. (Tsunamis) 26 People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory.28 So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!”
MATTHEW 24:3-8 3 Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?” 4 Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, 5 for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. 7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.
– In the progress of birth pains there are trimesters. 1-3; 4-6; 7-9 months is the third and most pains happen during the last trimester were a woman feels the sharpest pain.
– That’s when the child is about to be delivered.
THREE THINGS HAPPENS
1. BREAKING OF THE WATER
THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
That represents in the realm of the Spirit …..
– OUT OF YOUR BELLY FLOWER RIVERS OF WATER.
(John7:38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.’”)
– He will pour out His Spirit on all flesh…….
Acts 2:17 In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on …
Joel 2:28 And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people…..
– THE LATER RAIN (Hosea 6:3 & Joel 2:23)
Water is a metaphor of the Holy Spirit ….. Water breaking is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Which is one of the final signs in (Joel and Acts) that the Messiah is coming.
2. THERE IS AN INTENSITY TO THE CONTRACTION
In other words if we begin to see not only a 4-5 point earthquake but if it moves to 7-9 that is intensity. There are currently 20 active volcanos in the last couple of weeks. If the volcano destroys a city or region that is a birth pain.
Same with a tsunami if it is a 15 foot wave compared to a 10 foot wave.
Volcanoes are a cause for earthquakes and tsunamis.
There has been….
14775 earthquakes (1990-1999)
19495 earthquakes (2000-2009)
20464 earthquakes (2010-2019)
There have been 38 earthquakes just alone this week, 2 days ago on Friday.
What about Tsunamis?
In fact, the largest tsunami wave ever recorded broke on a cool July night in 1958 and only claimed five lives. A 1,720 foot tsunami (taller than the Empire State Building) towered over Lituya Bay, a quiet fjord in Alaska, after an earthquake rumbled 13 miles away.
This massive tremor triggered around 40.03 million cubic yards of rock to fall 3,000 feet into the Lituya Glacier, causing a torrent of displaced water to rear up and form a monstrous wave which, miraculously, only killed five people.
The series of waves sank one boat that was resting near the entrance to the bay, killing the husband and wife inside. A second boat in the middle of the bay survived. Their vessel smoothly carried them 80 feet high over the wave’s crest.
As the tsunami continued to power through the Bay at 100 miles an hour, it pushed a third boat through the opening into the Gulf of Alaska.
Millions of trees were pulled from their roots as it passed. Damage that can still be observed today.
Biggest But Not The Deadliest
That devastating record was broken by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that was one tenth of the height.
#1. Tsunami Sumatra 2004, Andaman Indonesia
On December 26th 2004 an earthquake that hit over 9.3 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Sumatra was estimated to occur at a depth of 18.5 miles. The ensuing tsunami was as tall as 150ft, reaching 3.1 miles inland near Meubolah, Sumatra.
The tsunami travelled over 3,000 miles impacting 17 countries in Southeastern and Southern Asia and Eastern and Southern Africa. The earthquake had the longest duration of faulting (or producing) ever observed, between 8 and 10 minutes.
It caused the entire planet to vibrate as much as 0.5 inches and triggered other earthquakes as far away as Alaska.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the Sumatra-Andaman earthquake is estimated to have released the energy of 23,000 Hiroshima-type atomic bombs. With a recorded death toll of 230,000 people and damages over $10 billion, it is one of the worst disasters the modern world has ever seen.
#2. Tsunami Japan 2011, Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami
North Pacific Coast, Japan – 11 March 2011
A powerful tsunami travelling 498 miles per hour with 30 feet-high waves swept over the east coast of Japan, killing more than 18,000 people. The tsunami was spawned by an 9.0 magnitude earthquake that reached depths of 15miles- making it the fourth-largest earthquake ever recorded.
Approximately 452,000 people were relocated to shelters, and still remain displaced from their destroyed homes. The violent shaking resulted in a nuclear emergency, in which the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant began leaking radioactive steam. It would take Japan up to five years to financially overcome the $235 billion damages.
The earthquake moved Honshu (the main island of Japan) 8 ft east, shifted the Earth on its axis by estimates of between 4 in and 10, increased earth’s rotational speed by 1.8 µs per day, and generated infrasound waves detected in perturbations of the low-orbiting Gravity Field and Steady- …
How much did Japan move after the 2011 earthquake?
About 250 miles of Japan’s northern Honshu coastline dropped by 2 feet, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The jolt moved Japan’s main island of Honshu eastward by 8 feet. The Pacific Plate slid westward near the epicenter by 79 feet.Sep 13, 2017
The Deadliest Tsunamis – Major tsunamis caused by a 7 or higher magnitude earthquake:
1900-1950: one in 50 years
1951-2000: six in 50 years
2000-2010: ten in 10 years
2018 : two in 1 year
In 1992, there were 35 Tsunamis recorded, and four was caused by a quake-triggered undersea landslide.

HUNGER FAST FACTS
1. There is more than enough food produced in the world to feed everyone on the planet.
2. About 690 million people worldwide go to bed hungry each night.
3. Small farmers, herders, and fishermen produce about 70 percent of the global food supply, yet they are especially vulnerable to food insecurity – poverty and hunger are most acute among rural populations.
4. Conflict is a major driver of hunger: The UN estimates that 122 million of 144 million stunted children live in countries affected by conflict.
5. An estimated 14 million children under the age of five worldwide suffer from severe acute malnutrition, also known as severe wasting, yet only 25 percent of severely malnourished children have access to lifesaving treatment.
Hunger is Rising, COVID-19 Will Make it Worse
The rise of hunger shows no signs of abating. By the end of 2020, the number of acutely food insecure people could increase to 270 million due to COVID-19, representing an 82 per cent increase compared to the number of acutely food insecure people pre-COVID-19.
8.9%
World hunger is on the rise.
How many people are hungry in the world? Globally, about 8.9% of the world’s population — 690 million people — go to bed on an empty stomach each night. Oct 29, 2020
Nearly 690 million people were undernourished in 2019, up by almost 60 million since 2014.
Nearly half of all deaths in children under age five are attributable to under nutrition and, regrettably, stunting and wasting still have strong impacts worldwide.
In 2019, 21 per cent of all children under age five (144 million) were stunted (prevented from growing.. )and 49.5 million children experienced wasting. (Growing weaker and slowly dying)
The effects of the pandemic will increase child hunger, and an additional 6.7 million children are predicted to be wasted by the end of 2020 due to the pandemic’s impact.
The situation continues to be most alarming in Africa: 19 per cent of its population is under-nourished (more than 250 million people), with the highest prevalence of undernourishment among all global regions.
Africa is the only region where the number of stunted children has risen since 2000.
Women and girls represent more than 70 per cent of people facing chronic hunger.
Is there enough food in the world for everyone?
For the past two decades, the rate of global food production has increased faster than the rate of global population growth. … The world already produces more than 1 ½ times enough food to feed everyone on the planet. That’s enough to feed 10 billion people, the population peak we expect by 2050. May 2, 2012
Jeff Bezos could even end world hunger twice a year. Bill Gates could do the same. … By an estimate of 30 billion dollars, EVERY person in all first-world countries would have to pay $33.08 per YEAR (about €27.34) to end world hunger. That’s three yearly Netflix subscription.
Famine killed nearly 75 million people in the 20th century, but had virtually disappeared in recent decades. Now, suddenly, it is back. In late February a famine was declared in South Sudan, and warnings of famine have also recently been issued for Somalia, Nigeria and Yemen.
What explains this rapid rise in the number of people who need emergency food assistance? And why, in an era of declining poverty and hunger worldwide, are we suddenly facing four potential famines in unconnected countries?
What are famines?
Famines are extreme events in which large populations lack adequate access to food, leading to widespread malnutrition and deaths.
More of these deaths are caused by infectious disease than starvation because severe malnutrition compromises human immune systems.
This makes people much more susceptible to killer diseases such as measles, or even common conditions such as diarrhea. Young children are especially vulnerable.
3. The Level Of Timing Or The Contraction Of The Time
Instead of an earthquake happens every 2 weeks, now it happens every week and then every 3 days.
That’s the intensity that a woman experiences in the last few weeks before giving birth
Famine, pestilence (covid19)
Conclusion:
It’s an awaking and the Lord is saying: Look up for your redemption is drawing near. Luke 21:28 Amplified Bible
Now when these things begin to occur, stand tall and lift up your heads [in joy], because [suffering ends as] your redemption is drawing near.”
