HOW TO LIVE IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Mark 16:16-18 (NLT)

16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. 17 These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. 18 They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”

 

John 14:12 (NLT)

12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

John 14:16-17 (NLT)

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.

John 14:26 (AMP)

26 But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you

Matthew 10:1 (NKJV)

And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

Matthew 10:7-8 (NLT)

7 Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!

Jesus gave them, and also to us a twofold commission:

1. To preach that the kingdom of heaven is near and to call the people to repentance.

2. To minister to the desperate needs of the people through the manifestation of miracle done in His name.

Jesus set the pattern for the church to follow. We are to preach and proclaim the Word with miracles and signs following.

Jesus said that believers would have the same power and authority to do the works He had done…

. to heal the sick

. to cast out demons

. to raise the dead

. to have authority over nature

Mark 16:15 (NLT)

15 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.

Luke 9:1-2 NLT)

1 One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. 2 Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Jesus Equipped The Church….

With HIS Power So We Would Be Able To Set People Free From The Bondage Of Satan.

Luke 10:2 (NLT)

2 These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.

As A Child Of God You Have Been Given The Power And Authority In Name Of Jesus Christ.

Luke 10:1 (AMP)

10 Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them out ahead of Him, two by two, into every city and place where He was about to go.

Luke 10:18-19 (AMP)

18 He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like [a flash of] lightning. 19 Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.

During His Final Hours With His Disciples

Before He Went To The Cross, Jesus Repeatedly Emphasized The Authority And Power He Had Given Them Through His Name.

Jesus told them in

John 15:16 (AMP)

16 You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you.

To walk in the supernatural,

you must begin to exercise and release the authority and power Jesus Christ has given you.

What I Would Like For You To Do As Prompted By The Holy Spirit Next Week,

Is To Pray For Someone On The Street, Store, Etc. That You Don’t Know And Let The Power Of God, The Power Of The Holy Spirit That Is In You Work Through You.

Ephesians 3:20 (AMP)

20 Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,

John 14:12-14 (AMP)

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if any one steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My name [as presenting all that I Am], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son. [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall as in My Name [as presenting all that I Am].
