HOW TO GET ANSWERS TO EVERY PRAYER – 7/7/2019

HOW TO GET ANSWERS TO EVERY PRAYER

Ewoc sermon – 7.7.2019

1. Why are some prayers answered and others not?

When Jesus prayed for something or someone do you think He asked himself will this request be answered or not.

John declares that an effective prayer life is related to our devotion to God.

1 John 3:18-24 Living Bible (TLB)

18 Little children let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it by our actions19 Then we will know for sure, by our actions, that we are on God’s side, and our consciences will be clear, even when we stand before the Lord. 20 But if we have bad consciences and feel that we have done wrong, the Lord will surely feel it even more, for he knows everything we do.

21 But, dearly loved friends, if our consciences are clear, we can come to the Lord with perfect assurance and trust22 and get whatever we ask for because we are obeying him and doing the things that please him23 And this is what God says we must do: Believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another. 24 Those who do what God says—they are living with God and he with them. We know this is true because the Holy Spirit he has given us tells us so.

1 John 5:14-15 Living Bible (TLB)

14 And we are sure of this, that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. 15 And if we really know he is listening when we talk to him and make our requests, then we can be sure that he will answer us.

What difference will the answers to your prayer request make for the kingdom of God.

How does it impact the kingdom of God?

How does the answer to your request impacts the kingdom of God?

The woman at the well – 5000 men- 5 loves and 2 fish

What do you do after you released your prayer request, and how do you maintain the attitude of acceptance to get your answer?

# 1. Indispensable conditions in order to receive what we ask for in prayer are Obeying, Loving and Pleasing God (Fear of God).

#2. Ask anything according to His will

(1 John 5:14) 14 And we are sure of this, that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will

– In our prayers we must submit to God and pray that His will maybe be done in our lives.

– We know God’s will in many instances because it is revealed in Scripture.

– At other times it becomes clear only as we earnestly seek His will.

– Once we know His will about any given issues,

then we can ask in confidence and faith.

– When we do this, we know that He hears us and that his purpose for us will be accomplished.

Matthew 17:21 (NKJV)

21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

His will must always be our will.
